Mudi Chekke Barthad brings together two beloved agrarian treasures of Kodagu—tender young raw jackfruit (Mudi Chekke) and protein-rich black chickpeas (Kala Chana). Both ingredients are pressure-cooked until tender, then tossed in a dry-roasted coconut-cumin paste with a tart splash of tamarind. This hearty, fibrous dry fry is a vegetarian masterpiece often served during harvest gatherings.
